La forma richiama il nanotubo di grafene: struttura elementare, potente, quasi invisibile nella sua perfezione. L’opera si ritrae, non si impone. Niente da vedere, niente da nascondere. Senza strategia, nessuna proiezione ne azione da rivendicare. Senza coscienza che commenta, pensiero che misura, azione che rivendica. Il gioco del mondo che continua senza attaccamento al risultato.
L’opera non esiste più come oggetto separato è osservatore ed osservato. Resta un rapporto non mediato tra ogni cosa.

The form evokes a graphene nanotube: an elementary, powerful structure, almost invisible in its perfection. The work withdraws rather than asserting itself. Nothing to see, nothing to hide. No strategy, no projection, no action to claim. Without a consciousness that comments, a thought that measures, or an action that asserts. The play of the world continues without attachment to outcome.

The work no longer exists as a separate object; it is both observer and observed. What remains is an unmediated relationship between all things.

Sandro Del Pistoia (Viareggio, 1975) 

Dopo la formazione in architettura a Firenze e il diploma in Scultura presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara (2007), l’artista avvia dal 2006 un’attività espositiva in ambito nazionale e internazionale, a partire dalla partecipazione alla Biennale Internazionale di Scultura di Carrara. La sua ricerca si concentra su installazioni scultoree modulari, realizzate principalmente in legno, metallo e pelle, caratterizzate da strutture tridimensionali leggere e dinamiche in dialogo con lo spazio architettonico. Nel corso della carriera ha preso parte a numerosi progetti espositivi in Italia e all’estero, collaborando con istituzioni museali e realtà internazionali, tra cui Fendi e il gruppo Swatch, ed esponendo presso sedi quali il Galata Museo del Mare, il CAMeC – Centro Arte Moderna e Contemporanea e il Museo Civico del Marmo. Nel 2014 ha inoltre realizzato un’opera a Shanghai per la collezione Swatch. Attualmente vive e lavora a Pietrasanta.

After training in architecture in Florence and earning a diploma in Sculpture from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara (2007), the artist began exhibiting nationally and internationally in 2006, starting with participation in the Carrara International Sculpture Biennial.

His research focuses on modular sculptural installations, mainly made of wood, metal, and leather, characterized by light, dynamic three-dimensional structures in dialogue with architectural space.

Throughout his career, the artist has taken part in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, collaborating with museum institutions and international organizations, including Fendi and the Swatch Group, and exhibiting in venues such as the Galata Museo del Mare, CAMeC – Centro Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, and the Museo Civico del Marmo.

In 2014, the artist also created a work in Shanghai for the Swatch collection. He/she currently lives and works in Pietrasanta.
